Venue Tour: Chapel Creek Ranch

Updated on April 5, 2018

One of my favorite things to do as a Certified Wedding Planner is to tour venues! I especially love visiting new places and family-owned businesses. There is just something about meeting people who are passionate about what they do and love serving their clients that leaves me feeling energized and inspired!

And that's exactly the type of folks you'll meet out at Chapel Creek Ranch.

I got the pleasure of meeting with Courtney as she showed me around this brand new rustic venue tucked away in the hills of Krum, Texas. Just outside of Denton, this beautiful wedding venue offers multiple indoor and outdoor options for both your ceremony and reception. One of the best parts about the ranch, in my opinion, is that you get the entire venue to yourself and for a flat price: no choosing between the barn or the chapel, horseshoe point and the "island" of the creek, or anything like that!

The photos in this blog post belong to either Emily Chappell Photography, Chapel Creek Ranch, or myself & are indicated in the captions.

This is Courtney. She's the Venue Manager out at Chapel Creek Ranch and was such a kind, open person! You may be wondering why I'm sharing pictures of a person during a venue tour blog post... I'm of the opinion that when you book a wedding venue, you are also choosing their staff to be part of your big day. Be sure that you get good vibes from the on-site staff when touring potential wedding sites: they come with the package!

Be sure to follow their Instagram page, because they've added so much beauty to the ranch since I visited! And of course, I highly recommend taking a tour.

The large rustic barn at Chapel Creek Ranch is perfect for your big reception and/or grand ceremony! There's plenty of room in there, gorgeous chandeliers, a prep kitchen for your caterer, a beautiful bridal suite, and a groom's retreat and patio (there's a BBQ pit for the guys to use, and the ranch offers skeet shooting to keep them occupied while the gals get ready!).

The chapel is a great spot for an intimate ceremony or for the cocktail hour! This building has a really neat story: it's still the original house that came with the land, but has been updated and remodeled. You can still see bits of the original shiplap mixed in with the new!

There are also several outdoor options for a ceremony, pictures, and entertaining. Horseshoe point (left) is paved and has room for outdoor seating. There are also plenty of beautiful, shady areas for an outdoor cocktail hour or completely unique outdoor ceremony. And, speaking of pictures, part of your booking package includes free use of the property for bridal portraits or engagements. Super cool!

I could say so many more nice things about choosing Chapel Creek Ranch for your wedding venue, but the bottom line is that the heart behind the services offered at the ranch is unlike many others. They simply wish for you and your family to truly enjoy the day completely stress-free and carefree, which is why they offer easy, flat-rate packages and allow you to bring in your own vendors (they also have a preferred vendor list)!

I mentioned before, but I would highly recommend at least taking a tour out at Chapel Creek before deciding on the perfect wedding venue for your Big Day.
