Hawthorn Hills Ranch is a beautiful blend of a "rustic" venue and classic venue: "southern chic" is the term they prefer! The ranch has one main outdoor space & one main indoor space tucked away overlooking a serene country-scape. Amanda (venue manager) told me there are more features in the works, but they're super secret right now!

They have a main outdoor ceremony space that beautifully overlooks the country landscape, complete with trees, pasture, and a pond. There's also plenty of outdoor room if you'd like to toss up a big tent for your reception or make use of the sprawling land. One of the best features of this outdoor space is the pavement: even if it's recently rained, the seating can be wicked off and the pathway will never muddy your gown! Currently, they have a portable audio system, but rumor has it permanent outdoor speakers will be added soon.
Inside, they have a big open space for your indoor ceremony and/or indoor reception, complete with a prep kitchen and bar area. Hawthorn Hills Ranch purposefully chose natural lighting and neutral colors with the bride (and photographer!) in mind. One of the best features, in my opinion, is that the building is facing "backwards" when you drive up to the venue. This means the main view is of the gorgeous landscape & the parking lot has a big fence to obstruct any interruptions from headlights or street noise.
Amanda at Hawthorn Hills Ranch was so sweet and hospitable. She and I sat down and had a wonderful chat about the industry and how I can grow as a day-of wedding coordinator and event planner. Do yourself a favor and schedule a venue visit ASAP!
