Venue Tour: Whispering Oaks
I recently had the pleasure of taking a gorgeous, scenic drive up to Whispering Oaks Wedding Venue in Valley View, Texas. Jessica (the owner) was absolutely delightful to meet with. The venue is brand new, family-owned & operated, and just gorgeous! It's nestled away among hills and trees.
(Please note that the Whispering Oaks Wedding Venue is about a quarter-mile past "Oak Meadow," another venue; keep driving & don't turn in like a certain blogger might have. It is not the same place!).
Many of the photos in this post were generously provided by Miranda Longoria Photography, and the rest were from my iPhone.
If you've followed along with my other venue tours, you know I love a good barn door backdrop for photos.
Check out the exterior of this gorgeous barn!
This venue is just rustic enough that you can wear your boots if you'd like to, but elegant enough that you you don't have to stick to burlap for your decor choice. Check out those beautiful chandeliers! There's also tons of natural light inside of the barn.
The thoughtfulness and care that have gone into this venue are incredible. Jessica and her husband designed the barn on their own (no architect), so every detail was a choice they made together ("or fought over," as she joked). Each piece of wood inside the barn was hand-stained by Jessica, family, and friends. The decor and design choices were selected with the bride & groom in mind.
The outdoor spaces at the venue are also gorgeous with tons of tree coverage for shade. The folks at Whispering Oaks were intentional every step of the way, including placement of the outdoor ceremony site and wedding arch. Jessica mentioned that she just knew the arch had to be placed right where the two trees are standing together, seemingly joined. What a lovely symbol! There's also a great outdoor cocktail area with a fire pit & bistro lights--perfect for yard games and those who aren't into dancing.
Whispering Oaks also sits at a modest price point, being a gorgeous option for the budget-conscious bride, especially if you choose a non-peak month or day. They have an open vendor policy, meaning you can bring who & what you want all the way down to your catering & alcohol choices. They've got a nice prep kitchen for your caterer, and a portable bar to be placed wherever you want to the party to happen--even outside!
Schedule a visit to Whispering Oaks while they still have some dates available!
